Tomorrow I will start!

Now I have bought learned some Russian and bought an insurance. I also have got visa to Russia, and USA. To Mongolia I can get at maximum 90 days before I arrive there (I think it will take me about 94) so I have to apply in the embassy in Moscow or Irkutsk.
The Visa to China I will get tomorrow on the way to the ship to Riga.
Many things have to be done tomorrow: I want to say goodbye to the children at the preschool, where I have been working for almost five years, I want to give back the bus driver-uniforms to my bus driver jobs (and maybe get some duty degrees), I want to get an international driver license and i want to take some more vaccinations. But the ship to Riga is leaving not before 5 pm...


I already have packed and tested my bicycle. With all my equipment the weight was about 50 kg. I drove it about 110 km and it felt really good!

I have bought four waterproof bags and made my own rackets. Here you see the frontwheel with a "lowrider"

In front of the handlebar there is a bicycle basket with space for my backpack.
Everything is covered with a map over Europe and Asia.
On the rear rack there is  my sleeping bag and a sleeping pad and on top of it a pop-up tent.
